Hey!
I’m Scarlett, 18-year-old founder and the vision behind Sunchaser Clothing. Born and raised on the east coast of Australia in Newcastle, I’ve always been happiest by the ocean, surfing, road-tripping along the coast, and soaking up the salt and sun. Now based in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, I’m surrounded by so much inspiration for my brand!
I launched Sunchaser in October 2020, just after my 13th birthday, starting with beach-inspired clothing and jewellery. But I always dreamed of something bigger, something that wouldn’t just create new pieces but also give back to the earth that gives us so much.
By winter 2021, I realised there was a huge gap in the market for sustainable swimwear that’s cute and surf-ready. So I combined my love for the ocean with my passion for design, and began creating swimwear made from recycled plastics. I spent months learning everything from sampling to testing, making sure each piece ticked every box for comfort, durability, and style.
In March 2022, I launched my first fully hand-drawn and designed swim collection, The Daydreamer Collection, which was a true pinch-me moment. The love and support it received blew me away.
At 16, I made the bold decision to leave school and work on Sunchaser full-time and it was truly the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s given me the freedom to pour all my time, energy, and heart into building the brand of my dreams, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
